The Explorer Ceramic Course 1
Expressing Passion with Clay...
This is a beginner’s pottery art class, designed to take you through a fun journey of exploration in basic clay techniques both on and off the pottery wheel. This course is geared towards those with no prior experience.

  • Areas of exploration:
     Experience (4) different methods of potters' hand building and basic clay forming techniques of using the potter's wheel.
     
  • Gain an understanding of the process of creating a finished ceramic art piece.
     
  • Learn to analyze and solve creativity problems and enjoy the fruit of success and failure.
     
  • Explore ceramic glazing techniques
Duration of Explorer Ceramic Course: 8 classes
(3 hours/ class). It includes 8 pieces of ceramic work or up-to 5kg of works.

This ceramic course may be repeated (up to 6 times) to sharpen your pottery skills of shaping cylinders, pulling handles and learn advanced hand building skills.

 

 
 

The Discovery Ceramic Course
 .
 The Very Essence of Passion...
Basic skills are a prerequisite for this ceramic art class. The pottery class will continue the exploration of shape, lids, handles, spouts, and sculptural forms, ALTERED and more complex forms of ceramics.

You will discover alternative ways of working with clay without the use of a potter's wheel. Techniques will includes modified coiling and for speed, strength and difficult forms; Traditional Malaysian coiling technique for an unusual outlook and slab built forms.

  Other areas to discover:
  Glazes testing, mixing of clay & loading of the kiln
  Discussions, Demonstrations and Critique
  This class may be repeated as many times as you wish.
  Duration of this Discovery Ceramic Course:
  8 classes (3 hours/ class).

Drawing on hidden emotions...
This trial session ceramic class is designed for inexperienced individual or group who are curious about clay works of art and would like to try out a class before deciding to sign on for a course.   

Through this trial pottery session, you will be able
to experience the excitement of creating a ceramic
item of art out of clay from scratch!

  Pottery class for children age 6 and above.
