...

One rainy afternoon I was driving along one of the main streets of town, taking those extra precautions
necessary when the roads are wet and slick.

Suddenly, my daughter, Glorie, spoke up from
her relaxed position in her seat.

"Dad, I'm thinking of something."
This announcement usually meant she had been
pondering some fact for a while, and was now
ready to expound all that her six-year-old mind
had discovered.

I was eager to hear....
"What are you thinking?" I asked....

"The rain!" She began; is like sin,
and the windshield wipers are
like God wiping our sins away.

After the chill bumps raced up my arms...
I was able to respond; "That's really good, Glorie."

Then my curiosity broke in.
How far would this little girl take this revelation?

So I asked...

"Do you notice how the rain keeps on coming?
What does that tell you?"

Glorie didn't hesitate one moment with her answer:

"We keep on sinning, and
God keeps on forgiving us."

I will always remember this whenever I turn my wipers on. How can I ever forget... how a child imagination can be so refreshing effortless that; we must first endure some rain in order to see the rainbow.

Our children creativeness are like;
Angels who lift us to our feet
when our wings have trouble
remembering how to fly.

  What God looks like!
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
A Kindergarten teacher was observing her classroom of children while they were drawing. She would occasionally walk around to see each child's work.

As she got to one little girl who was working diligently, she asked; what her drawing was?

The child replied; "I'm drawing God."

The teacher paused and said; "But NO one knows what God looks like."

Without looking up from her drawing, the child said: "They will in a minute."

Never underestimate a child creativity and intelligence.

  God is watching
=-=-=-=-=-=-=
The children were lined up in the cafeteria of a Catholic elementary school for lunch.

At the head of the table was a large pile of apples where the nun has made a note and posted it on top of the apple tray: "Take only ONE, God is watching."

Further along the lunch line, at the other end of the table, was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies. A child had written a note: "Take all you want. God is watching the apples."
